Summer Evening Course 2014: My Favourite Hymn
Joyful or solemn, triumphant or meditative, hymns have played a central role in Christian worship down the centuries, and continue to delight and stir congregations today. Over the course of six evening sessions we will share some well-loved hymns, explore the stories of why they were written, and reflect on the texts which the writers set to music.
Meetings take place at the Vicarage from 8 to 9.45pm on Wednesday evenings from 11th June to 16th July. Anyone is welcome to attend sessions, including members of other churches or those who do not normally go to any church. If you would like to book a place or to find out more, please feel free to contact the church office.
